The regional project Enhancing Regional Cooperation in Processing of War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons (2017-2019) aims to improve cooperation among prosecution services in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia so they can process war crimes and accelerate the search for missing persons from the armed conflicts of the 1990s.

The project has four main objectives:

• Improve regional cooperation among prosecution services to make processing war crimes cases more efficient;

• Enhance the capacities of prosecution services at the country level so they can promote access to justice and better process war crimes cases;

• Strengthen regional communication and outreach to make joint regional efforts more transparent and visible;

• Accelerate the search for missing persons through regional cooperation.
